Karachi Gladiators batted first and were off to a rocky start. The team lost 4 of their top order batsmen early on in the innings and were reeling at 29/4 at one stage. Usama Khan then stepped in to stabilize the innings, scoring 45 runs, pulling the Gladiators back in the game. Raheel (30) also contributed runs with the bat, providing some relief to the batting side and boosting the team's total. Faisal and Amas were the key wicket takers, picking up 2 wickets each and limiting the flow of runs. Karachi Gladiators set a target of 165 in 20 overs.
Karachi Kekras had a few cameos but no real contributions throughout the innings. Opener Hunain scored 30 runs to set the team up for a promising start but received little support on the other end. Manna Yousuf was simply unplayable on the day, taking 4 key wickets and stumping the opposition. Muneeb Ahmad added further injury, taking 2 wickets to seal the victory for his side. The Kekras batsmen fell apart against an aggressive bowling attack with no other player contributing significantly. Karachi Kekras were limited to 137 in 20 overs.
