It’s always exciting to watch young blood play cricket, because to them the sports man spirit is like faith. KGS batted first against the KGK in the first innings of the match. Ali Anjum and Suleman Sajjad were the opening pair and they played a brilliant innings by carrying a 37 runs partnership for their team, giving them a massive start. Zain Riaz came in at number four and scored 11 runs. Suleman Saad scored 16 runs and lost his wicket to Zair Riaz who was the highest wicket taker for his team, with 2 wickets to his name. Ali Raza scored 24 runs and remained not out till the innings ended. At the end of 20 overs, KGS had scored 121 runs at the loss of 7 wickets.
The man who took the most wickets in the first innings became the highest scorer of the match. Zair Riaz played a marvelous innings as KGK started to bat in the second innings. After hitting 3 massive sixes, he scored a half century just off 30 balls. He had to sit this one down because of an injury, else he would’ve taken his team to the finish line. Same was the case with Hamza Imran who payed beautifully and scored 34 runs but got retired hurt. Humza Obaid and Saif Ali were the lucky players to witness for their team and scored 24 runs together. KGK chased the target in 13 overs.
