Karachi Kaikras Vs DPLC
Karachi kaikras were off to a bumpy start with their opening pair in the first innings against the DPLC. Saad and Ali scored a total of 15 runs and lost their wickets to Mohammad Ikram. Haris was the third man in and he covered the damage which his team faced in the early stage and gave a boost on the scoreboard by scoring 55 runs single handedly. Saad Sattar from DPLC was on fire, he dismantled 4 batsmen from the Karachi Kaikras batting order and stopped them from scoring major runs. 2 of the batsmen went back for a duck. Umer Haroon and Fawad Hussain played a partnership of 29 runs that added decent runs to their team’s total. In 19 overs, Karachi Kaikras lost all of their wickets and scored a total of 130 runs for DPLC to chase.
DPLC’s top batting order failed tremendously to score decent runs or for that matter score anything that could contribute towards the chase. Haris and Fawad Hussain shined like superstars for the Karachi Kaikras with their amazing bowling spells. Haris picked up 2 wickets and Fawad Hussain picked up 3 wickets. Karachi Kaikras enjoyed the moment, but it was just about time when Saqib and Ramiz decided to change things and turn things in favor of DPLC. They carried a 35 runs partnership, which gave them a head start for the chase. Muhammad Maaz and Daniyal Latif were the second pair to score a 48 runs partnership for their team. These crucial partnerships brought DPLC very close to the win. And things were turning totally in favor of DPLC when they reached the total of 129 in the 19th over with Faisal Badshah and Daniyal Latif standing and they only needed 2 runs to win it and a single run to tie it. But the unexpected happened and Karachi Kaikras picked up the last wicket before DPLC could score even a single run.
