Karachi Patriots defend their total with a brutal bowling attack and celebrate victory without hesitation.
Karachi Patriots batted first and were off to a solid start. After losing opener Tayyab Balagamwala for just 13 runs, Aamir Motiwala and Faisal Butt lead from the front, contributing valuable runs with the bat, building an impressive partnership. They score 51 and 44 runs respectively. The top batting order kept the scoreboard ticking while the bowling attack tried hard to dismantle the batting order. Hassan and Badr took a wicket each but were unable to stop the flow of runs. Atif Ahmed and Rizwan Merchant carried a partnership of 31 runs which brought their side's total to 161 runs in 20 overs.
Gladiators CC were not able to get a grip on the chase in the second innings. The entire batting order was brutally dismantled by the Karachi Patriots bowling attack. Adnan Ghazi and Afzal Gigi had 2 wickets each to their names. Gladiators batsmen Wajahat Emad fought hard for his side contributing 63 runs to keep his side's chances alive. The rest of the team however threw away their wickets, unable to keep the scoreboard ticking. Gladiators CC were limited to 134 runs in 20 overs.
