Karachi Patriots and Karachi Stallions faced each other in this one sided fixture of the 6th Residence Cup. Karachi Patriots batted first and were off to a dismal start as both openers failed to provide runs. The damage was repaired by Faisal Butt and Faraz Ahmed, who scored 34 and 27 runs respectively. This partnership allowed Adeel Abbasi to free his arms and he went on to score a classy half century. Adeel consumed just 30 balls to score 57 runs. Mustafa and Zeeshan showed exemplary discipline with the ball, and grabbed 3 wickets each. At the end of 20 overs, Karachi Patriots scored 175 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets.
Karachi Stallions lost an early wicket as they started their chase. Adnan Salim and Abdul Samad created a partnership and repaired some damage. Abdul Samad scored 23 runs off 27 balls while Adnan was the top scorer with 45 runs. The rest of the batting lineup displayed a dismal performance. Sameer Ahmedani took 4 wickets for 13 runs while Afzal Gigi took 3 wickets for 13 runs. Karachi Stallions could score only 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Karachi Patriots won the match by 66 runs.
