Karachi Stallions batted first but were off to a rocky start, losing their opener Abdul Samad for 9 runs to a brilliant piece of fielding! Owais Gigi (31), Zohaib (29) and Shezad Niaz (36) were the main contributors for the Stallions, fighting hard to keep the scoreboard ticking and helping their team post a respectable total. Rizwan Merchant and Sameer Ahmedani lead the bowling attack, picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively and handicapping the opposition. Karachi Stallions posted a target of 144 in 20 overs.
Karachi Patriots were completely outdone by a fantastic display of bowling by the Stallions! The duo of Mustufa and Hassan Ahmed teamed up to decimate the Patriots batsmen who simply could not play the ball. They took 7 wickets, guaranteeing a win for their side. Adeel Abbasi (22) and Faisal Butt (26) tried to bring the Patriots back in the game and were the only notable contributors for their side but were unable to pull their team over the line. Karachi Patriots were eventually bowled out for 104 runs in 17.2 overs.
