An annual friendly fixture between two old rivals was held at Moin Khan cricket stadium. A host of players flew in specially from abroad for the game. KGS 96 batted first and got off to a good start as Tayyab R Balagamwala and Nazer Minhaj hit the ball to all parts of the park. Nazer was out for 28 runs and Bilal Sikander at one down displayed some exquisite shots in his 32 runs off just 22 deliveries. Tayyab was the highest scorer as he managed 86 runs off 53 deliveries at a strike rate of 162% and KGS 96 ended at 179 for 4 in 20 overs. For the class of 98, Asif and Zulfiqar Shah got a wicket each and there were 2 run outs.
In reply, KGS class of 98 started off badly as they lost Saad Khamisani for 6 and Abbas Halai for 8 runs. Zulfiqar Shah then stepped up to the plate and scored a whirlwind 81 runs off just 43 deliveries as he hit seven huge sixes. He was complemented by Aneeq Khalid who got 38 runs and Adnan Ozair who scored 15 runs as KGS class of 98 reached home for the loss of 5 wickets and with an over to spare. For KGS class of 96, Khaqan Saadullah Khan and Umer Ghazi got 2 wickets each and Tayyab R Balagamwala picked up a wicket.
KGS Class of 98 won by 5 wickets.
