Hush Puppies Vs Khas (2nd FC Corporate Cup)
Hassan Sohail's brilliant performance with the bat led his team to glory.
Hush puppies were to bat first against the Khas in the first innings of the match. Arar Ahmed and Main Sharif were the opening pair from their team and they gave a reasonable start by scoring a partnership of 27 runs. Farhan Iqbal was the third man in and his innings was an amazing one. He showed top form by scoring an absolute brilliant 51 runs off 42 balls. After his dismissal Asad Arshad was the one to take charge and get some big runs on the scoreboard. He scored 45 runs off 27 balls. However, the Khas were also trying their best on stopping the batting side from setting a huge target and in doing so they managed to pick up 9 wickets. Saqib Qaiser was the outstanding bowler to pick uo 2 wickets in 1 over. Hush Puppies scored a total of 166 runs in 20 overs.
Khas were off to a poor start with their opening pair in the second innings. None of the players were able to get some decent runs on the scoreboard. But that didn't stop Khas from loosing hope of their chances of winning this match. Hassan Sohail was the man to take the game to another level. His brilliant innings with the bat changed the face of the game entirely. He scored 77 runs off 58 balls and Khurram Ashfaq carried through by scoring 11 runs. After their dismissal Yasir Tanveer was the man to score 37 runs and bring his team more closer to the win. Farhan Iftikhar scored 18 runs and brought his side one step closer to ultimate glory. In 19 overs the Khas had chased the target.
Khas won the match by 4 wickets.
