Khas XI beat Steel Alhamra by five wickets at the Moin Khan Academy this week in the first match of the CPL Night Tournament.
After a slow start, Steel Alhamra, bounced back as Haris Maqbool made 33 from 26 and Rizwan Khalid made 23 from 18. Along with Abdullah Tahir's 19 from 17 and 17 extra runs the total was pushed to 135 in 20 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Hassan Javed, Imran Tahir and Hassan Sohail took one wicket each.
Haseeb Ashfaq carried Khas XI on his back as his opening 80 from 45 is the biggest reason they won. Adnan Sohail came through with a 27 from 8 towards the end of the batting order to help them chase the target. They chased the target inside 15 overs. Danish Alvi and Shahzaib Maqbool took two wickets each.
