In a Friendly match played at the Bahria College Cricket Ground, in the early hours of the morning, Legends CC took on the Asnaiper CC, in what was a high scoring contest.
Asnaiper CC batted first and were off to a hesitant start, losing both openers cheaply. Nevertheless, the middle order rebuilt the innings with Umar scoring a rapid 27 runs in only 15 balls while Abid contributed 43 runs in 31 balls. The pick of the bowlers for Legends CC was Mumtaz Khan, who picked up 2 wickets for just 18 runs in his quota of 4 over. Asnaiper CC, at the end of the innings, finished at 170 runs.
Legends CC started their chase off with a bang, with opener Umer Ishtiaq demolishing the bowlers. His magnificent 50 ball 97 runs included 10 boundaries and 6 huge sixes, to set the path for what would turn out to be a comfortable chase. Middle order batsman Saqib also contributed with a valuable 24 runs in 18 balls to seal the win. For the Asnaiper CC, Majid picked up 1 wicket for 17 runs in his 3 overs.
