Legends CC v Markhors CC
Markhors CC batted first and were off to a solid start with both openers Rameez and Usman contributing cameos of 21 and 25 runs respectively. Once the duo was dismissed however, the team were outdone by an incredible display of bowling by Ahmed Saboor Baig. He took 6 wickets in his spell of 4 overs to completely dismantle the opposition. Marhoos lost 5 quick wickets including two consecutive ducks before Furqan stepped in to lead the recovery with a valuable knock of 37 runs. Asad also struck with the ball picking up 2 wickets. Markhors CC were bowled out for 121 runs in 17.2 overs.
With a very strong performance in their first innings, Legends CC were feeling confident in the chase. Despite losing opener Atiq for just 1 run, the team never struggled against the opposition. Ahmer Shaikh and Mumtaz Khan scored 36 and 42 runs to guide their team to a comfortable victory. Markhors bowler Furqan fought back with the ball, taking 3 wickets for his side but the target was too modest to defend. Legends CC chased down the target in 16.5 overs.
