MAA Cricket Club beat Big Buy Market in a match in the SPL Season 5.
Batting first, Big Buy struggled as they lost both openers as well as their top order batsmen for single digit scores. Middle order batsmen Ali Ammar (23 off 24 balls) and Kamran Ibrahim (49 off 29 balls) made important contributions to the team’s total. However, after their dismissals, the remaining batsmen did not make many runs and the team reached 136 runs. MAA’s Saad Asif and Fayyaz Hussain bagged 3 wickets each.
MAA lost one opener early on in the innings but opener Talha Ahmedani played a brilliant knock of 54 off 45 balls along with Ali Naqi, who made 43 off 42 balls. This helped the team cruise through the chase and took pressure off the batsmen. They were able to chase the target with 2 balls to spare. Kamran Ibrhaim took 3 wickets while Abdullah Nawab took 2.
MAA won by 3 wickets.
