MF Roomi Strikers and MAA Construction and Builders went against each other on 17th September at the TMC Cricket Ground.
Umer Tasleem and Ali Naqi opened the innings for Construction. Ali managed to score 17 runs only, however, Umer got out on a duck. The batters displayed a poor performance and the bowlers dominated. Khansha was successful in dismissing 3 batsmen. In addition to this, Imran Idress and Hunain Usman bagged 2 wickets each. Usman Yunus Ghani scored 22 off 12 balls and was the highest scorer of the innings. Hence, Construction posted a target of 125 runs.
Strikers opened their innings with Habib Shoaib and Hamza Altaf. Both failed to make a significant impact and got out on 10 and 1 runs respectively. The following two batters in the lineup, Khansha and Uzair Aslam, were dismissed on a duck. The poor opening performance from the batters helped the bowlers increase the pressure and they dominated. Asad Akhter dismissed 3 batsmen at an economy rate of 5. In addition to this, Yaqoob Jan bagged 2 wickets.
The stunning bowling performance from Construction led them to a win by 6 runs.
