VMA Suleman Textiles batted first against Wintex Strikers at the MPL Play Offs. Opener Umair Ahmed was in prime form, carrying his side and giving them hope with an impressive 85 as the rest of his team fell apart around him. Adeel Abbasi tried to keep the scoreboard ticking with 20 but Wintex bowlers put on a good show. Madni Zubair was lethal in his spell, taking 4 wickets and giving nothing away. Maroof Aziz backed him up with 2 wickets and Shaaz Shajani picked up a wicket as VMA Suleman Textiles were limited to 156 for 7 in 20 overs.
In response, Wintex Strikers lost opener Tayyab for just 6 runs but the rest of the side steadied themselves to keep their chances alive in the chase. Danish Aziz was brilliant in his knock of 46 while Sumail, Shaaz, Salman and Adeel all contributed effectively to help Wintex chase down the target in 19.1 overs. Stallions bowlers were weak against the opposition, unable to pick wickets when needed.
