Fighters XI v Markhors CC
Fighters Xi and Markhors CC locked horns at Eidgah cricket ground. Fighters batted first and on a difficult pitch managed 139 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. The team lost three early wickets before Amir Khan stepped in to stabilize the innings with 34 runs off 35 balls and was supported by Ayaz Ansari who got 22 runs off 25 balls. However, it was Aslam’s late inning blitz of 31 runs off 13 balls that enabled Fighters XI to end on a comfortable note. For Markhors CC, wickets were shared as Jhangir, Talha, Rohan, Zohaib, Furqan and Bilal got a wicket each and there were 2 run outs in the innings.
Markhors CC also lost three early wickets but Farooq with 32 off 29 and Jhangir with 28 runs off 26 balls stabilized the innings. Fighters bowler Ahmed fought back with the ball picking up 3 key wickets. Shoaib also picked up 2 wickets and Khizar 1 but it wasn't enough to defend their team's total. In the end, Zohaib with 14 and Rohan with 12 ensured their team crossed the victory line with 9 balls to spare.
