Massive Win For Suleman Textile Stallions

In a Group B fixture of the 17th Challengers Cup, played at the IBA Ground, Suleman Textile Stallions took on the Karachi Stars.

Suleman Textile Stallions batted first and were off to a flying start with opener Shoaib belting 55 runs in only 34 balls, in an innings that witnessed 5 fours and 3 huge sixes. With a solid start given by the top order, the middle order did not fail with Shahid Jiwani being the key contributor. His superb half century, with 5 fours and 2 sixes, enabled the Stallions to reach 183 runs, for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. The pick of the bowlers for Karachi Star were Saad Samad and Daniyal Gigi, who each took 2 wickets.

Karachi Star began their chase in an uncertain manner with only Mohsin Yousuf reaching double digits (11 runs) in the top 7 batsmen. Thus the Stallions dominated the innings throughout, taking wickets at quick intervals. Imran Idrees was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for just 5 runs in his 4 overs. Rehan Hanif and Abdul Moiz were also key with the ball, picking up 2 wickets each. Saad Samad top scored for the Karachi Stars with 23 runs, with a four and a six. However, the Suleman Textile Stallions were too good for the Stars, dismissing them for just 58 runs.

Suleman Textile Stallions won the game by 125 runs.
