The Markhor League Season 2 came to a fitting end with Suriya Fighters and Estate World going head to head.

Suriya Fighters batted first with their top order firing well. Openers Shahbaz Attari and Umair Tariq did well to effectively contribute, scoring 44 and 36 runs respectively. After the duo were dismissed however, the team fumbled and continued to lose wickets throughout the innings, eventually getting bowled out for 150 runs in 20 overs. Estate World bowlers did well to limit the opposition after a fantastic start with Ali Ahmed and Salman Asif leading the attack. Ali took 4 wickets in his spell while Salman picked up 3 wickets.

In response, Estate World lost opener Hasan Mehmood for duck and then continued to lose wickets regularly after that. Jahanzaib, Farhan and Ibad tried to keep their side in the game with cameos in their twenties but the chasing side needed a real partnership to get over the line. Suriya bowlers were disciplined with Abdullah Imran’s brutal spell of 4 for 20 helping bowl out Estate World for just 135 runs in 18.4 overs.

Suriya Fighters won by 15 runs and are champions!
