Mateen Enterprises batted first against Zenith Associates in a match that turned out to be a one sided affair. The batting side came together well as a unit with each of their players contributing effectively to keep the scoreboard ticking. Akthar Muhammad's 37, Qadir Khan's 30 and a fiery 54 off 23 helped Mateen get to a mammoth 206 for 6 in 20 overs. Shah Hussain and Farhan Nisar also chipped in with cameos in their twenties. Zenith's bowlers let the game get away from them with their bowlers being smashed. Kamil Mehmood was their most prized bowler picking up 2 expensive wickets.
In response, Zenith Associates crumbled against the opposition. Mateen bowlers struck early removing Kamil for just 5 runs and things did not get any easier after that. Mohib Ahsan was the only player to show any intent with 28 runs while the rest of the side imploded with 5 of the subsequent batsmen being dismissed in single digits. The chasing side were all out for 101 runs in 14.4 overs. Mateen bowlers kept the pressure on with Qadir Khan picking up 3 wickets in his spell and Daniyal Liaquat and Fareed Arbab taking 2 wickets each.
