Team Epharm and Medicam went against each other on 29th September at DHA Sports Club.
Mudassir Ul Haq and Saif Naseem opened the innings for Team Epharm. Mudassir scored 30 runs, hitting 3 boundaries; however, Saif lost his wicket on 8 runs only. The batters faced difficultly, as the bowlers continued their domination. Umer Lohya and Umer Chawla bagged 2 wickets each, denting the momentum. Ali Tahir Chawla and Anas Mustafeez attempted to stabilise the innings and scored 21 runs each. Hence, Epharm posted a total of 127 runs.
Junaid Khaleel and Abdul Basit Zaki opened the innings for Medicam. Junaid was playing at a strike rate of 100 when he was caught out on Ali Chawla’s ball at 23 runs. Abdul Basit continued with a high spirit, as he scored 40 off 26, hitting 7 boundaries. The bowlers were unable to build pressure and contain the batters. Cameos by Lohya and Chawla led Medicam closer to the score.
As a result, the target was chased by Medicam in the 17th over only with 6 wickets to spare.
