Soni Associates met Medicam in the Semi Final of the Dollar East Day Tournament at Asghar Ali Shah.
Soni opted to bat first as their opener Ahmed Hussain got out early after scoring 1 run of 5 balls on the other hand Baber played cautiously scoring 48 of 51 balls. After his untimely departure Rizwan (32) and Ashraf's (34) partnership pushed Soni's total to 154 for the loss of 6 wickets.
Medicam looked un-troubled in the chase despite the fact that opener Daiyal Ali got out early after just scoring 10 runs of 9 balls but it was Arsalan Farzand who really made the difference scoring 91 runs of 51 balls at a strike rate of 178. Medicam chased the target in 16.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets and secured a place in the final.
