Meezan Bank crowned champions

In the high-stakes finale of the 69th Challengers Corporate Cup between Meezan Bank and Ibex Knights, Ibex Knights took to the crease first. Despite losing three early wickets, Abdullah steadied the innings with a resilient 37 off 38 balls, followed by Hashir Ansari’s contribution of 29 off 35 deliveries. However, the remaining batting lineup struggled to make substantial scores against Meezan Bank’s formidable bowling attack. Sayyam Khan Afridi’s skillful bowling fetched him 2 wickets as Ibex Knights concluded their innings at 149/6, setting a competitive target.

In pursuit of the target, Meezan Bank’s opening duo set the tone for their innings. Ahmed Baig played an exceptional innings, remaining unbeaten at 93 off 55 deliveries, anchoring the chase with determination and skill. His partner, Kashif Bashir, contributed a valuable 36 off 24 balls to the partnership. Faisal Iqbal’s brisk unbeaten 20 off 13 deliveries further bolstered Meezan Bank’s charge towards victory. Muhammad Jawwad managed to secure 2 wickets for Ibex Knights.
