Meezan Bank victorious over Bank Al Habib

Bank Al Habib batted first & opening batsmen, Javed Kohistani and Zakir Malik, got off to a promising start, building a solid foundation for their team. Javed Kohistani played an impressive innings, scoring 40 runs off 33 balls, while Zakir Malik showcased his aggressive intent with a quickfire knock of 46 runs off 31 deliveries. The openers provided a strong platform for Bank Al Habib to build upon. As the innings progressed, Mujahid Hassan contributed a valuable 21 runs off 18 balls, and Farhan Nisar added a brisk 21 runs off just 14 balls. Chasing the target, Meezan Bank faced an early setback, losing a wicket in the initial stages of their innings. Opener Ahmed Baig provided a solid start, scoring 29 runs off 15 balls, setting the tone for the run chase. Syed Salman and Kashif Bashir continued to keep the scoreboard ticking with their innings of 23 off 19 balls and 19 off 16 balls, respectively. However, the real hero of the Meezan Bank chase was Saif, who played a spectacular unbeaten knock of 53 runs off just 24 balls. His aggressive batting prowess and timely boundaries put immense pressure on the Bank Al Habib bowlers. Alongside him, Sayyam Khan Afridi played a crucial unbeaten inning of 13 runs off 12 balls, providing the much-needed support in the final stages of the chase. Bank Al Habib bowlers fought hard to defend their total, with Naeem Mashwani being the standout performer, taking three wickets, and Javed Kohistani contributing with two crucial wickets. However, Meezan Bank’s determined batting display ensured they reached the target with three wickets to spare.
