The Rex v Meezan Panthers (20 over match)
Meezan Panthers batted first, losing opener Ziyad for just 4 runs. Azfar (31) and Osama (61) then took over, contributing runs with the bat and stabilizing the innings. The rest of the team however were outdone by a solid display of bowling and were unable to keep their wickets intact. 7 of the batsmen were out for single digits. Nauman, Azfar, Bilal and Sabih teamed up to destroy the opposition, taking 2 wickets each and bowling out Meezan Panthers for 133 in 16.4 overs.
The Rex lost their opener Daniyal for 13 runs but were saved by his partner Azfar Saleem who scored 76 runs, setting the foundation for a comfortable victory. However, things did not go as planned and he received little support from the remaining batsmen who were simply unable to get going. Too many dot balls and too few runs resulted in The Rex being restricted to 122 in 20 overs.
