Qasmi Gymkhana came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Their top order batsmen got their starts but were unable to convert them into a big innings. Their opener Mohammad Afzal stood tall & was hitting the ball cleanly. The middle order batsmen couldn’t do much as well. Waqab Johar came in & played the supporting role for Mohammad Afzal. Mohammad Afzal kept hitting the ball towards all parts of the ground. He played an absolute batting masterclass scoring 93 runs off just 47 deliveries. His innings included 7 gigantic sixes & 7 boundaries. Waqab Johar scored 19 runs. Ali Ishaq picked up 3 wickets but rest of the bowlers couldn’t do much. Qasmi Gymkhana posted a total of 167 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Bilal Associates came in to chase this target & were off to a flying start. They lost one of their openers on the first ball but that didn’t stop them from scoring at a healthy rate. Their top order batsmen showed responsibility & scored at a healthy strike rate. Habib Ullah scored 23 runs & found good support from Shahid Mirani from the other end who scored a quick fire 27 off 17 deliveries. Ali Iqbal came in next & scored 39 off 27. The bowlers then made some sort of a comeback & picked up a couple of wickets. Asif Azhar & Waseem Ali put up a partnership which brought the team back into the game. Asif Azhar managed to score 32 runs off 32 deliveries & Waseem Ali played a cameo of 31 runs off 21 balls. With one run remaining to win Arif Yaqoob came in to bat, he struggled to find bat on ball & was runout on the last ball of the match. Jahanzaib Razzaq managed to pickup a couple of wickets.
