Super Daddy Cricket Club batted first against Mandviwalla Group at the all important final of the 5th Karachi Super League t20 Championship.
The defending champions lost opener Rehan Shaikh for just 8 runs but recovered well after that. Omer Shahid contributed a valuable 36 while Adeel Mansha was tragically run out for a fiery 49. While the team continued to lose wickets regularly, minor cameos kept the scoreboard ticking. Abid Malik and skipper Shahram Rasool scored 25 and 26 runs respectively as Super Daddies ended at a very competitive 191 for 8 in 20 overs. Mandivwalla weren't able to make the breakthrough in time. Hasnain Gujjar and Shamim Ahmed were the key bowlers with 2 wickets each.
In response, Mandviwalla were never really in the chase thanks to an incredible performance by Ali Mufti. The Daddies bowlers turned up for his side with a fifer, giving away just 7 runs to choke the opposition. With the exception of Hasnain's valiant 29, none of the other batsmen showed any intent as Mandviwalla were bowled out for 121 in 16.4 overs. Muhammad Abdullah kept the pressure on with his 2 wickets while Zeeshan, Adnan and Khansha took a wicket each.
Super Daddy Cricket Club have defended their title and won by 70 runs.
