Muslim Gymkhana batted first against Karachi Gladiators in a match which resulted in complete annihilation. Openers Fahad Jabbar and Bilal Omer were in ruthless form. While Fahad played a supporting role of 42, the real star of the match was Bilal Omer. His 92 run knock came off just 43 balls at a relentless strike rate of over 200 to leave the Gladiators bowlers running for cover. Not to be outdone, Ahmed Hussain also knocked 67 boosting Muslim Gymkhana to one of the highest totals we have witnessed in local cricket for a t20 match- 269 for the loss of just 3 wickets. Sami Afridi picked up 2 wickets for his side, Naveed Khan also got a wicket but it was too little too late.
In response, Karachi Gladiators would need to play the match of their life to chase down this target. Rabish and Muzammil tried to give their side some semblance of hope with 29 runs each but the scoreboard pressure was just too much. The side completely fell apart, losing a string of quick wickets throughout the innings. Ahmed Hussain, Zaid Meer and Saad Razzak took 2 wickets each as Karachi Gladiators were dismissed for a low 139 in 19.4 overs.
Muslim Gymkhana won by 130 runs and are headed to the final against Benitoz Panthers.
