Downtown Real Estate Builders and Developers batted first against Muslim Gymkhana at the Al Wakeel Cricket League (Season 3). Despite Fahad Jabbar's early dismissal for just 10 runs, his partner Faisal Butt was on fire, contributing a handy 52 off 41. Ghazanfar Ritchie and Usman Ghani kept things ticking with 30 runs each before Adeel Sabuwala stepped in up the ante. Adeel was sensational in his innings of 52, smashing 4 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 200 to boost Downtown to a very competitive 189 for 7 in 20 overs. Muslim bowlers went for plenty with Naveed Rangoonia being the key wicket taker with 3 scalps in his spell and Ahmed Hussain picking up a couple.
In response, Hurair Shahid was the stand out star for his side with 71 off 51 including 7 fours and 2 sixes to set the foundation for an easy win. An in-form Ahmed Hussain kept the momentum going on his end with 48 while Bilal Omer's 37 helped Muslim Gymkhana chase down the target in 19.4 overs. Downtown bowlers were relatively ineffective, unable to pick wickets when needed. Salman Dossani took 2 wickets in vain.
