National Foods and Fashion Art International went against each other on 18th September at DHA Sports Club.
Shoaib Akhter and Asif Siddiqui opened the innings for Fashion Art. However, both were dismissed at low scores of 4 and 6 runs respectively. Haider Ali Bangash, the one-down batter, stabilised the innings by scoring 46 off 39. In addition to this, Raza Tahir smashed a half-century off 34 balls, however, got out by Abdul Salam. Hence, the batters were able to set a target of 159 runs. Abdul Salam, from National Foods dominated massively, as he bagged a 5 wicket-haul.
Mehmood Shah and Faizan Azam opened the innings for National Foods. Both were stunning with their efforts, as they smashed 41 and 43 runs respectively. Their significant contribution shunned the efforts of the bowlers. Asif Siddiqui with 3 wickets in his bag was unable to create a significant impact, as the batters continued to score.
As a result, National Foods chased the target in the 19th over and secured the win.
