Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana battled against Rising Star C.C. in an exciting twenty over match. Batting first, Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were off to a decent start as Farhan Asif and Abbas Raza looked in good form as they opened the innings. But Abbas could not cash his start and lost his wicket quite soon. Adnan Ali Bajwa joined Farhan and together they produced a brilliant partnership. Farhan got out after scoring 37 runs off just 22 balls, and after the fall of another wicket Hassan Qazi joined Adnan. This was the start of another healthy partnership, as Adnan managed to score 43 runs off 25 balls while Hassan made 38 runs off 25 balls. Talha Bin Haider smacked a few runs while batting with the tail and allowed his side to reach to a good score. 2 wickets each were grabbed by Muzzamil Lakhani, Mansoor and Sohaib while one wicket each was taken by Sarwar and Danish Fattani. Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana managed to score 182 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Rising Star C.C. started their innings with two quick wickets. The pressure mounted and this helped the bowlers to halt the flow of runs. Despite the high amount of pressure, Adeel Rizvi and Sohaib produced a brilliant partnership, and scored 35 and 39 runs respectively. But to chase such a huge target the entire batting lineup needs to contribute. And this was something where Rising Star C.C. lacked. Sarwar produced a gem of an innings in the lower and missed his half century by just 1 run, scoring 49 runs off just 24 balls. Salman was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 3 wickets for 14 runs, he was supported well by his fellow bowlers. Farhan Asif, Abbas Raza, Usman Ghani,Atif Ali and Hussain contributed with a wicket each, and collectively this bowling attack managed to restrict Rising Star C.C. to 168 for 9 in twenty overs.
Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana won the match by 14 runs.
