Nazimabad Fighters went against Timez Fighter in the final match of Master Blaster Weekday Fajar Club on 26th October.
Ansar Khan and M Ali opened the innings for Nazimabad Fighters. Ansar lost his wicket on 8 runs only to Ashraf Khan. However, Ali smashed 44 off 26 balls at a strike rate of 169.23. Saif Ali, the one-down batter, further stabilised the innings, as he added 68 runs to the score at a strike rate of 202.94. His innings included 6 fours and 4 sixes. Fayyaz Hussain bagged 3 crucial wickets in the middle overs. However, this didn’t stop the batters. Ubaid Ullah Khan played a cameo of 33 off 27. Hence, the team was led to a score of 173.
Batting first, Timez Fighter’s openers Syed Zia Shah and Umar Khan gave a slow start to the team. Both scored a collective of 31 runs. Ashraf Khan secured steadiness for the team, as he scored 42 off 31. Noman Ali Khan shone with the ball, as he took back-to-back wickets. He took 4 wickets at an economy rate of 5.25 in 4 overs.
The batters were unable to make a significant contribution, as they fell to bowlers’ tactics. As a result, Timez Fighter lost all their wickets in the 17th over. They fell short off 35 runs. Hence, Nazimabad Fighters emerged as champions.
