Super Star CC faced Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana in this one sided fixture of the 15th Challengers Cup. Batting first, Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were off to a superb start. Openers Farhan Asif and Azam, made life difficult for the bowlers. Farhan scored 30 runs off just 18 balls while Azam scored 61 runs consuming 51 deliveries. Shezad Niaz was the only wicket taking bowler with 3 wickets against his name. Muhammad Ahsan Zafar and Hassan Qazi made sure that the flow of runs does not slow down. Ahsan scored 49 runs off just 31 balls while Hassan Qazi gathered 22 runs off just 10 balls. After 20 overs, Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana scored 183 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Super Star CC had a dismal start to their chase as they lost both openers one after another. The target was huge and it required some brilliant display of batting. But the batting performance was anything but brilliant, as the batting lineup failed to keep up with the required run rate. Waqar Hafeez top scored with 32 runs which came off in 29 balls. Adnan Ali Bajwa was the star of the bowling side with 4 wickets for 24 runs. He was assisted by Abbas Raza who grabbed two wickets for 27 runs. Super Star CC were all out in the 15th over at the total score of 110 runs. Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana won the match by 73 runs.
