The Careem and KheloKricket Gully Ka Hero Tournament continued with its full beauty on its second day that is 11th of March. The day started with the match played between Airport Stars and North Tigers.
Airport Stars batted first and lost their opener Ikram for 15 runs. One down Farooq then took charge smashed 44 of 18 making his team reach a respectable total. Airport Stars made 80 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 6 overs. Taimur from North Tigers put an excellent show of his performance and picked up 2 wickets in his economical spell. Farhan also bagged 1 wicket.
North Tigers in reply ripped apart the bowling unit of opposition. They chased the target at the expense of 2 wickets with even 2 overs to spare. Opener Saif played a brutal innings of 48 off 16 leaving no chance for the opposition. The finishing touch was given by Khalid who scored 19 off 6. The only wicket taker from Airport Stars was Farooq securing 1 wicket.
North Tigers won by 5 wickets.
Match # 2: Iqbal Titans versus Mighty Malir
Iqbal Titans batted first against Mighty Malir in an exciting thriller. Opener Hamza from Titans went for a golden duck. The batsmen following him made some little contributions in the team total but the highlights were M.Hamza and Babar who took some serious responsibility and scored an unbeaten 21 and 24 runs respectively. Titans were summed up to 88 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 6 overs. Burhan from Malir was outstanding with the ball picking up 3 wickets in his economical spell. Shaharyar also bagged 1 wicket.
Mighty Malir in reply did not have a good start as day lost their openers for 7 runs and a duck respectively. One down Burhan also went for a golden duck. But it was Awais who took the charge and added valuable 27 runs to his team's total. He was followed by Farjad and Siddique who scored 13 and 10 runs respectively. The match had a thrilling and a super dramatic ending with Mighty Malir winning on the last delivery. They chased the target of 89 runs for the loss of 5 wickets on the last delivery of 6th over. Azeem and Shahroz picked up 2 wickets each, while Mustafa bagged 1 wicket.
Mighty Malir won by 2 wickets.
