Bantva Lions batted first against Okhai Stars at the Memon Cricket League (MCL) with Omair Yousuf turning up the heat for his side! After Lions lost their star opener Fahad Jabbar for duck, Omair Yousuf stepped in to singlehandedly steer his side to a very competitive target of 195 for 6 in 20 overs. The centurion smashed 107 not out off just 63 balls including 5 boundaries and 5 sixes. Rabish Ahmed also provided some support with a handy knock of 43 as Stars bowlers were out of sorts after a decent start. Faisal Sattar and Imran Muhammadi picked up 2 wickets each.
In response, Okhai Stars were off to a rocky start after losing their opener and one down batsmen in single digits. Owais Pasta and Saad Gatta then tried to lead the recovery with valuable contributions of 60 and 34 runs that threatened the Lions bowlers. Bantva however were relentless, consistently picking up wickets to help restrict the flow of runs as Stars ended at 145 for 8 in 20 overs. Bilal Umer and Moin Jahangir were outstanding in their spells, picking up 3 wickets each.
