AMADEUS SUPER CRICKETERS vs PARCO BLUES (20 OVER MATCH)
It was a thrilling encounter between Armedeus Super Cricketers and PARCO Blues in the 2nd Corporate Cup. Batting first, Amadeus Super Cricketers had a tremulous start. After losing Faizan Alam, Amadeus Super Cricketers looked for someone who could repair the damage. And it was a wise sensible knock played by Ali Naqvi which helped them to hope for a competitive total. He scored 43 runs off 43 balls. Along him were Ibad Anis and Umair Zaheer who contributed some valuable runs, scoring 21 and 15 respectively. But courtesy some brilliance with the ball by Muhammad Khalil and Adil Aziz, Amadeus Super Cricketers were restricted to a meek 110 runs in 20 overs. Muhammad Khalil took 4 wickets for 26 runs while Adil Aziz claimed 3 scalps in his economical spell of 2 overs giving away only 7 runs.
In response, PARCO Blues were off to a shaky start as both the openers were sent back to pavilion without reaching the double figures. But before Armedeus Super Cricketers could capitalize the ideal situation, Mahmood Shah and Muhammad Khalil began to counter attack. Mahmood Shah scored a blistering half century finishing with 53 runs off 45 deliveries whereas Muhammad Khalil scored 25 off just 15 balls. This partnership superseded the efforts of Ali Naqvi who took 3 wickets for 21 runs, and put PARCO Blues in the driving seat. It was the 16th over when PARCO Blues achieved their target by finishing up with 116 on the board.
PARCO Blues won the match by 5 wickets
