Parco Cruise to the Final

PARCO VS BUFFIELDS (RAMZAN SUPER SIXES SEMIFINAL)

Semi finals bring out the best in teams. There's no time for mistakes. No second chances. You give it your all and hope that your best on that day is better than that of your opponent. Parco and Buffield clashed in the first semifinal of the Ramzan Super Sixes and left no stone unturned to beat each other.

Parco batted first and were off to a shocking start. Opener Rafay Sheikh did the unthinkable in a super sixes match, bowling a maiden over to leave the opposition stumped and desperate for runs. Haq Nawaz then took control scoring 19 runs of 13 balls while it was Ibrahim whose extraordinary efforts enabled Parco to post a defendable total. He scored 31 runs off just 13 deliveries before he retired. Danish Ali then came into bat, doing further damage, scoring 17 runs off 5 deliveries enabling Parco to post 74 runs on the board. The team lost only one wicket throughout their innings.

Buffields needed a solid all round team performance to chase down the target. Parco bowlers Ejaz and Khalid however dismissed both openers early on to leave Buffields reeling. After a dismal start by the openers Muneeb stepped in to lead the recovery scoring 31 runs off 13 balls. He was further assisted by Bilal who scored 27 runs. The duo fought valiantly against the opposition, trying hard to get their team over the line but were unable to cement their place in the final. Buffields fell just 7 runs short of the target.

Parco emerged victorious in this nail biting semifinal and sealed a berth in the finals.

Ibrahim Akther was awarded the man of the match.
