The Super Daddys have been on a roll at the 3rd ACM Gold t20 Day League but it finally took Karachi Patriots to defeat their side. Batting first, the Patriots lost opener Atif Ahmed early on for just 2 runs but nothing seemed to deter the team as they recovered well to build an innings. The top order each chipped in to contribute, ensuring that the scoreboard was ticking throughout the innings. Tayyab scored 34 at the top with Ghazanfar and Aamir also knocking cameos of 26 and 23 runs respectively. An in-form Usman Ghani then took things a step further with a blistering half century knock and a handy 31 by Faisal Butt boosted Karachi Patriots to 195 for 6 in 20 overs. The Daddies bowlers were weak against the opposition, unable to break the run flow.
In response, Super Daddy CC were unable to keep their form going. Naeem Siddiqui and Adeel Mansha were the only 2 players to show intent with scores of 30 and 38 respectively while the rest of the team threw away their wickets after some decent starts. Patriots bowlers did well to keep the pressure on throughout the innings with Ghazanfar Ritchie being the standout bowler of the match, taking 3 wickets in his spell. Super Daddy CC were restricted to 142 for 7 in 20 overs.
Karachi Patriots won by 53 runs.
