Karachi Patriots batted first and were off to a worst possible start as they lost their top order without much contribution. Hassam Khan destroyed their top order and did not allow them to take control of the match in the first half. It was one of the best opening spell. Then Adeel Abbasi and Faisal Butt got together as they tried to rescue the sinking ship and scored some runs to give their side something to bowl at. Adeel Abbasi scored 47 and Faisal Butt scored 37. It was a much needed partnership as they managed to get to 108.
Eagles Cricket Club made a mess of the run chase as their innings was going nowhere from the start. Openers though batted for some time but were too slow. Rizwan Merchant bowled an inspirational spell and with his spell he bought his side back in the game. He picked up 3 wickets for just 15 and it was an unbelievable spell. With just 108 to chase Eagles Cricket Club made a meal of it and managed just 98 in their 20 overs.
