PECHS Star batted first and were off to a rocky start, losing opener Amjad for just 2 runs. The team lost wickets in regular intervals with no batsmen capitalizing on their innings. Cameos and contributions by the team, in particular, Zeeshan(33), Faisal(27) and Hammad (29) got the scoreboard ticking and boosted the team's total. Karachi King's bowlers were timid in their approach, letting runs flow and only striking occasionally. PECHS Star set a target of 181 in 20 overs.
Karachi King began their chase losing opener Bilal for just 1 run. It was a comedy of errors by the team as they lost wickets quickly and were unable to recover. Shamroz (24) contributed runs with the bat and was able to propel the team to a more comfortable position. He received little support from the remaining batsmen until Danish scored a desperate half century at a strike rate of over 200 to try and win the game for his side. He fell short however and was unable to get the team over the line. PECHS Star's bowlers did well to restrict the opposition with Nafees leading the attack and picking up 2 crucial wickets. Karachi King eventually scored 168 runs in 20 overs.
