QRCC defeated Naya Nazimabad Sports in the 7th Super Challengers Saturday Cup final.
Naya Nazimabad batted first and were off to a good start as opener Muhammad Jazim scored 21 off 13 balls and Waseem Mashood smashed 53 off 33 balls, including 5 boundaries. However, after their dismissals, the only meaningful contributions came from Zubair Dilawar (16 off 12 balls) and Kashif Bashir (17 off 12 balls). Apart from them, the batsmen could not post many runs on the board and only managed low scores. The team reached 163 runs. QRCC’s Abdul Rehman was the lead wicket taker of his side with a 4 wicket haul.
QRCC’s batsmen were determined to win the final and both openers performed well. Khurram Ali Khan made 23 off 15 balls while Abdul Rehman’s exceptional knock of 81 not out from 55 balls led the team to an easy victory. Faizan’s 17 runs and Asim Khan’s 31 not out took the team over the line and helped them reach their target in just 18 overs. The bowlers were not able to pick up wickets or restrict runs.
QRCC won the final by 8 wickets.
