A clinical performance from Rangoonwala Cricket Club saw them coast to a nine-wicket win over Soni Associate.
In a refreshing change at the Al Mansora Cricket Ground, the bowlers dominated the proceedings in the first session as Soni Associate innings folded for just 125.
Soni Associate batted first in a low scoring one sided game and their top order was exposed by quality bowling from Rangoonwala Cricket Club. Farhan Nasir was the first to go as he was dismissed for a 0 without troubling the scorers. Baber Malik soon followed him, he scored 9. Ahmed Hussain and Waqas Haroon tried to rescue the sinking ship but they also couln't manage to stay for long. The wickets fell like a house of cards, one after another. Only 4 batsmen were able to score in double figures. In the end Soni Associate only managed 125 runs at the expense of 9 wickets. Inaseem and Mirza picked 2 wickets each.
The second inning started with Rangoonwala Cricket Club wanting just over 6 runs an over to win. There top order showed their class and pummeled the bowlers all around the park not letting settle any. Zaakir Malik made an aggressive 38 of just 13 with six 4's and two 6's before being dismissed by Farhan Nasir. Aashir Siddiqui and Adnan Akhtar then got together and carried the team through to win, they both scored 44 and 41 respectively.
In the end Rangoonwala Cricket Club won quite comfortably with 9 wickets, they chased the target of 125 in just 13 overs.
