Rangoonwala Take Home The Cup

PARCO VS RANGOONWALA (RAMZAN SUPER SIXES FINAL)

Emotions and adrenaline were at an all time high as two heavy weight arch rivals faced off at the all important final. It all came down to who wants it the most ? who will rise to the occasion? Which team will prove their worth for one last time? Who will be the champion? The final match of the Ramzan Super Sixes was played between teams Rangoonwala and Parco.

In the semifinals, Rangoonwala thrashed Bubbers to reach the finals while Parco won against Buffields.

Rangoonwala batted first and and were off to a flying start. Adnan Akhter and Zakir Malik scored 35 runs off 10 and 31 runs off 12 respectively setting the foundation for a competitive total.  The rest of the batsmen however stumbled throughout the innings unable to contribute signficiantly with the bat. Parco's bowler Ejaz bowled accurately with decent line and length conceding only 13 runs. Rangoonwala eventually set a sizeable target of 82 runs that could potentially trouble the Parco batsmen.

Parco were off to a rocky start in their chase with both openers unable to get the fire power going. Haq Nawaz and Ibrahim struggled against a fierce bowling line up wirh scoreboard pressure and a run rate requirement of 16.4 runs per over. Rangoonwala bowlers showed no mercy against the opposition and despite of giving away 11 extras, gave no room to the Parco batsmen to score freely. Zakir Malik claimed 2 wickets for 8 runs while Sajjad bowled arguably one of the best overs of the tournament giving away only a single run for his 1 wicket. Parco batsmen were helpless against the opposition and despite their best efforts, were limited to only 48 runs in their 5 overs.

Rangoonwala won the match by a solid margin of 34 runs to lift the Ramzan Super Sixes trophy.
