Rangoonwala was off to a disappointing start with its opening pair in the first innings against Atlas Pakistan. First three batsmen weren’t able to grab big runs and went down after scoring a total of 11 runs. However Shehroz Sana Ul Haq came in at number at started to cover the damage with his awesome performance. He single handedly scored 69 runs just off 55 balls and gave his team a boost start, followed by Bakhrain and Fayyaz Hussain who carried a 44 runs partnership. Zahir was the last player to grab decent runs for the team and went back after scoring 26 runs. In 20 overs. Rangoonwala Cricket Club managed to score a total of 168 runs. Wasif was the highest wicket taker for his team with 4 wickets to his name in the first innings.
Same was the case with Atlas Pakistan. It was almost as if we were watching the highlights from the first innings. The first three batsmen were a great let down and lost their wickets after scoring 8 runs in total. Wasif came to his team’s rescue at number four and scored 60 runs just off 42 balls. But that was just about it for the Atlas Pakistan. No other batsman was able to get his hands on big or for that matter even decent runs. They reached a total of 106 runs in 20 overs after losing 7 wickets.
