Super Daddy CC batted first against OGS at the Sugar Bowl this past Saturday. Omer Shahid was outdone by Mohammad Arshid. The batting side however recovered well after that with Adnan Amjad teaming up with Rehan Shaikh to post a solid partnership. Adnan's contributed a handy 36 but it was the ever reliable Rehan Shaikh who really came through for his side once again. His sublime 82 off 49 included 14 boundaries. The rest of the team simply chipped in with minor cameos as Super Daddy CC set a competitive target of 192 in 20 overs.
In response, Mohammad Arshad was on fire with a half century knock that threatened to steal the Daddies victory. He received little support on the other end however with his opener Mustafa Malik and one down Shamas losing their wickets cheaply. Irteza Khan and Umar Ghazi did try and steer the recovery in the middle with 33 and 29 runs respectively but they needed an extraordinary knock at this stage to get over the line. Daddies bowlers were consistent with the ball, continously picking up wickets. Babar Mufti took 3 wickets while Naeem Siddiqui picked up a couple.
Super Daddy CC won by 34 runs.
