Rex XI batted first & despite losing three early wickets, Umar Zaheer contributed 18 runs off 19 deliveries. However, the standout performance came from Muhammad Sadiq, who remained unbeaten with a splendid knock of 86 runs off just 45 balls. His innings included a blend of powerful strokes and calculated shots, steering Rex XI to a competitive total. Talib Hussain’s brisk 21 off 9 balls in the latter part of the innings further boosted their score. Osama Mohsin, Monis Saeed, and Anas Kamil managed to take a wicket each, but Rex XI managed to reach a respectable total of 172/5.
In response, A.R Strikers began their chase with openers A Rehman Nadeem and Haris Naveed. They contributed 20 and 12 runs respectively before departing. The anchor of A.R Strikers’ chase was Amir Batla, who played a pivotal knock of 57 runs off 37 balls, which included a mix of elegant strokes and well-timed shots. Anas Rizwan’s unbeaten 30 off 26 provided much-needed stability to the innings. However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to find momentum against Rex XI’s bowlers. Faiz Chaudhry and Imran Sajjad stood out by grabbing 2 wickets each, applying pressure on A.R Strikers’ batting order.
