It was smooth sailing for Ridan Warriors at the 18th Challengers Cup match against Zamzam Sports. Batting first, Zamzam lost both their openers very early on but Mahmood Ali stepped in to save the day. His sensational 62 included 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Faizan Khan and Shahid Mukhtar also contributed cameos in their twenties but the team ended with a sub par score of 128 in 20 overs.Ridan Warriors bowlers did well to contain the run flow with Zain Altaf in particular taking 2 wickets each.
In response, Zamzam Sports opener Adeel Majid stepped out with intent. His valuable 35 set the tone for a comfortable victory. Cameos by Abdul Wahab and Bilal Chinioty of 16 and 18 respectively kept the momentum going before Afnan Karim finished things off with a fiery 41 to chase down the target in 15 overs. Zamzam bowlers were weak against the opposition, unable to strike when needed.
