Rimpa XI Vs Rex Eleven (18 Over Match)
Furqan helps his side defend 143 against Rex Eleven in this 18 over fixture at RLCA.
Rimpa XI batted first and were off to a good start as Kamran and Ali played with purpose and gave their side a good platform. Kamran scored 33 and was the highest scorer for his side whereas Ali managed to score 17. After they were dismissed Danish and Farrukh got together and resumed where the openers had left off both milked the bowlers during their stay and hit the odd ball for four. But Danish could not stay on the crease for long and was dismissed for 20. Farrukh on the other hand was calm and steady and kept on going but unfortunately for Rimpa XI they kept on losing wickets at the other end and it also effected Farrukh as he was not able to get much of the strike and in the end managed to score 28 of 26 and remained not out. This effort took Rimpa XI to a 143 in their 18 overs.
Rex Eleven also were off to a reasonable start in their chase and Umar in particular was looking in threatening mood as he smashed all the bowlers in the initial overs and utilized the field restrictions well. Maisam supported him in the opening partnership and scored 12 before was dismissed which allowed Talal to join Umar. As Umar was striking the ball well so Talal kept rotating the strike to give much strike to Umar but eventually Umar's efforts came to an end as he was dismissed for 48 by Furqan who had a brilliant outing with the ball as he picked up 3 crucial wickets. After Umar Rex Eleven tried to remain in the game Waleed and Yahya Rizwan's partnership but it was not enough as they fell short by 11 runs.
