Rising Eleven Win Chippa Premier League

Shaikhani Fighters batted first against Rising Eleven at the final of the Chippa Premier League! 

Fighters lost opener Shahzaib Dyer for just 5 runs. Fayyaz Hussain then stepped up with 32 off 33 and Ejaz Khan kept things ticking with his 15. Bilal Aslam and Ali Zain however were the real stars for their side with valuable innings of 35 and 41 runs respectively to take Shaikhani Fighters to a defendable, competitive 153 for 6 in 20 overs. Rising Eleven bowlers Asim Bravo and Khalid Zubair were the key wicket takers with 2 scalps each.

In response, the 2nd innings was a close battle between the 2 sides. Rising Eleven continued to lose wickets and then would pull themselves back in the game. Opener Muhammad Sherry was out for 14 and one down Shahnawaz Majeed was dismissed for duck but Atif Ahmed took charge. He scored an impressive 51 off 38 including 8 fours and 2 sixes. Adeel Abbasi and Fayyaz Hussain were the attacking bowlers on the other end with 3 wickets each and Salman Sheikhani picked up a couple. Eventually however, Rising Eleven managed to chase down the target in 19.3 overs.

Rising Eleven won by 2 wickets and are champions of the Chippa Premier League!
