Rising Star C.C Vs Warriors C.C (15th Challengers Cup)
An All-round show from Rising Star CC saw them through to an easy victory against Warriors CC by 12 runs.
Rising Star batted first and were off to a reasonable start as both their openers Adeel Rizvi (31) and Haji Abdul Rehman (27) looked in solid shape and played the power play overs well. Both batsmen were in supreme form and played some extra ordinary shots during their stay. With the fine opening partnership both openers laid a great platform for rest of the batters. After the openers were dismissed, the middle order followed with the same flow and all contributed well. The highest scorer, Malik Ahsan(34) held one end and others revolved around him. With these effort Rising Star posted a very challenging 167.
Warriors CC started the chase in perfect fashion as their openers set the tone and threatened the Rising Star bowlers to take the game away from them. Addel A Majid (15) and Adamjee Tai (41) were in great form as they struck the ball with supreme power and scored boundaries at will. Soon after the opening pair was dismissed, M.Younus (47) the highest scorer from Warriors CC kept his calm and carried the innings forward but unfortunately for Warriors CC this was not enough as no one else could really manage to score big and rest of the batting lineup could not contribute much as their innings folded for just 155. The pick of the bowler was Haseeb who picked up 3 wickets.
