Strikers CC Vs Rising Stars CC (15th Challengers Cup)
Muzzamil Lakhani shines and help his side cross the line againt Strikers CC with his fine spell of bowling.
Rising Star CC batted first and were off to a slow start and not an ideal one as they lost their openers quite early without much on the scoreboard. Danish and Ahsan then got together and began the repair work with their little stand. The partnership between the two was very slow but a much needed one for their side. Once they were dismissed Haris and Abbas Lakhani up the runrate and gave much needed momentum to their side with their cameos of 23 and 20 respectively. The bowling was also good from Strikers CC as they had everything under control for most part. In the end Rising Star managed to get to 147.
Strikers CC had a modest target in their mind when they went out to bat and they got a good beginning as Usman after little cameos from the openers carried the innings forward. But the difference creator between the two sides turned out to be a magical spell from Muzzamil Lakhani, his 3 wickets spell turned the tables in Rising Star CC favour. He ripped the heart out of Strikers CC as he dismissed their entire middle order without much contribution. He was supported by his team mate Mustafa Fatani who picked up 2 wickets. In the Usman’s 39 went in vain as his side fell short by 21 runs.
