Vanthali Memon Association batted first and were off to a bizarre start losing their top 5 wickets for not much on the board. It was a tough situation for them as losing 5 wickets for single digit scores is not what you plan for in a t20 game. They needed some serious partnership to take them out of trouble and they got it in shape of Farrukh Rangonia and Rab Nawaz. Rab Nawaz played a second fiddle role and partnered Farrukh but on the other hand, Farrukh was in blistering form as he smashed 2 sixes and 5 fours during a fine knock of 71 off just 50 balls. He scored crucial runs for his side and saved them from a complete mess. The bowlers on the other hand, bowled well and picked up key wickets Mustafa Fattani and Nadir Awan shared 3 wickets each but it was the extras columns that they would be disappointed in as they leaked 19 extras. In the end, Vanthali Memon Association scored 127 in their 20 overs.
In response, Rising Stars came out all guns blazing. They were not chasing a huge target and they knew they needed few good partnerships to get over the line. Adeel Rizvi scored 48 off 31 with 6 fours and 2 sixes to set his team on track. Zia supported him and scored 11 off 12. It was an ideal beginning for Rising Stars. Taha and Talha then got together and propelled the score forward. Taha scored 14 off 21 whereas Talha scored 27 off 32 balls. Both batted cautiously during their time at the crease as they knew they are not chasing a big score. Abdul Qadir picked up 3 wickets but they were not enough as Rising Stars cruised to victory in 17.2 overs.
